First, discuss why a classical experimental design is impractical to test the hypothesis below.

"Individuals who were physically abused as children are more likely to engage in criminal activity as an adult than individuals who were not abused as children."

Second, design a quasi-experimental design to test the hypothesis above. Be sure to include all the major design elements specific to the hypothesis (e.g., don't just say you are going to administer a pre/posttest; also explain who will receive the pre/posttest and what it will involve); also identify what your independent and dependent variables are and explain how you will measure each. BE SPECIFIC!!

Third, explain if your design can establish causation and state specifically what you will need to find to support your hypothesis (i.e., identify whether the design meets each of the causation criteria; and whether you can infer causation or correlation).
