Question: Peter was on a trip to Singapore for a week and on his return he discovered that his house is surrounded by police. His wife was being held hostage and threatened by her captor. Peter pleads with the police to rescue her and offers $2000 to the policeman who brings Peter's wife safely. A police officer, Stan, eventually talks the captor into releasing the woman hostage and he leads the woman to safety. When Stan goes to collect the promised $2000 from Peter, he refused saying that 'Thank you very much, but I have no intention of paying'.
