Fred is a health teacher at Local Middle School and a triathlete. Over summer break, he appeared shirtless and showed off his "ripped" body on a local TV commercial for a weight loss product. A week after the commercial first appeared, school officials called Fred into the administrator's office and asked for his resignation. Fred claims he was pressured and coerced into resigning. He said that school officials told him as a result of his appearing in the TV commercials, his existing year-to-year teaching contract would not be renewed for the upcoming school year. Fred subsequently sues the school corporation for wrongful discharge. Discuss whether Fred should win or lose.
