Lymphatic System
Overview
You are always exposed to different microbes which may or may not be pathogenic, but you do not fall sick every day. Your body has defense mechanisms that help you maintain your immunity. The various areas you are trying to enter are the nose, mouth, skin, anal opening, vaginal opening in females, and urethral orifice.
Instructions
Watch the following video. After watching the video, think about how the lymphatic system works and the ways in which the system fights off pathogens. Using the information from this module, create an initial post using the following prompts. Your initial post needs to address each discussion prompt.

Discussion Prompts
COVID-19 has created havoc - there are some patients who are asymptomatic and some who are critically ill. In critically ill patients, one thing scientists have noticed is "cytokine storm syndrome."
If you were a bacterium and trying to invade the human body, how will you be prevented from entering?
Discuss what cytokine storm syndrome is and how it affects critically ill patients.
Explain another theory that you would use to explain why some patients are getting critically ill with COVID-19 and others are not. Provide evidence for your theory using material from module resources.
