Your post should discuss and answer all points with the use of scholarly work to back up your thoughts. Therefore, begin researching and using that research to indicate how nursing informatics can be applied. Second, provide examples of each application to help show the benefits of using informatics within each application. Finally, give your thoughts as to which one of those is the most significant application and why.
Example:
Nursing practice - helps with the evidence-based practice that can restore, support, and promote a healthy lifestyle or provide the necessary tools to help patients with certain diseases or illnesses.
Clinical practice - gives is the technology needed to gather patient information and store information that helps guide the plan of care. For example using dynamaps, glucometer, ECG, EMR, and software systems like EPIC.
Administration - can help with making sure medical records are accurate, accessible, it helps record all care given to the patient, it helps with billing and coding.
Education - allows for education tools to deliver easier and in a more accurate manner. It gives options to learn virtually and deliver courses more efficiently to ensure clinical/nursing practice is always evolving.
Research- helps support new clinical trials that can be used to support treatment for illness/diseases. Research can be supported by clinical data, analysis, and management. Research has helped back up infection control policies that have been implemented in many hospitals.
