Part A - Clinical skill performance
During the three day Clinical Skills Intensive Workshops, students will be required to perform one skill/day (three skills in total) to be assessed as satisfactory or unsatisfactory by the Clinical Skills Intensive Workshop tutor.
The skills to be assessed will be taking and recording observations, taking and recording a Blood Glucose Level (BGL) and taking and recording a urinalysis. For example, one skill/day will be assessed as satisfactory or unsatisfactory by the tutor.
Part B - Clinical skill reflection (approx. 1,200 words)
Students are to read the following Berman, A. et.al (2015) Chapter 11, Critical thinking and the Nursing Process pp.198-207 in Kozier and Erbs Fundamentals of NursingPearsons, Frenchs Forest NSW Australia.
Use your knowledge from reading this chapter as a basis to write your assignment. Please note that you are required to provide references from a variety of sources, including at least three peer reviewed contemporary sources.
