Information Systems Analysis and Design
Assessment
Modelling diagrams and system analysis report
Purpose: This assessment relates to Learning Outcomes a, b, c and e.
This assessment will allow you to demonstrate that you can analyse the requirements for an information system, draw use case, domain model and system sequence modelling diagrams and explain how the components of information system design apply to organisational settings.
Topic: This assessment requires you to draw modelling diagrams based on the analysis you have already done in Assessment 2.
Task Details: The assignment has four parts:
Question 1. Discuss two techniques for identifying use cases and provide a list of critical use cases for the given case study using these techniques.
Question 2. Develop any four user stories based on the case study analysed in Assessment 2.
Question 3. Choose one user story and draw the following diagrams:
a. A use case diagram showing all critical use cases for the given case study. List all the assumptions you have made while drawing this diagram.
b. Develop an activity diagram for a use case story identified above.
c. A UML class diagram showing all useful classes for the given case study. List all the assumptions you have made while drawing this diagram.
d. Provide a final user interface design using dialog and screen prototypes for a use case story identified above.
Question 4. Discuss the client-server architecture set up for the given scenario and explain how security concerns will be addressed, and what measures can be taken to ensure the confidentiality. integrity, and availability of data transmitted between the client and server.
