Write an analysis of your personal or professional experiences around group conflict and problem-solving. Include the following:

  • Define and discuss two of the conflict-management styles (Chapter 9) you've encountered - provide a specific example illustrating each.
  • Explain which conflict-management style you personally use most frequently and why. How might how your preferred conflict-management style affect collaboration with others?
  • What conflict management style do you have the most trouble with when used by others?
  • Review the five P-MOPS steps in Chapter 8. Think of a group that you belonged to that was unsuccessful in solving a problem (or more challenged than they should have been). What P-MOPS step do you think wasn't successfully completed and how could the group have used communication to improve on the result?
