The mini case takes place at Green Pasture Senior Housing, a community for senior citizens. As the property manager, Ann has recently promoted assistant manager Larry to a larger housing complex to give him more experience to prepare him to take on a manager position in the future. In his place, Ann hires Kristin as the new assistant manager. One employee, Jack, is very upset with this change, accusing Ann of hiring Kristin because they are friends. Jack now refuses to speak with either Ann or Kristin. As the social worker, Joan feels caught in the middle as Jack will only communicate with her. Jack's work suffers from errors and low productivity, and residents are complaining. Other employees are stuck picking up the slack in addition to their own tasks, which is creating more team unhappiness.
