Discussion 1. Looking at the first section of slides in the Ethics Overview PPT, identify which ethical theory you think is most important for practitioners and their actions. Based upon your selection of the ethical theory that most resonates with you, provide an example of what that ethical theory would "look like" in practice.

  • Recall that we made the distinction between moral thought and moral action. Ethical leaders do both - the contemplate the ethics of a decision and tCreate a hypotheticalhen they take appropriate action. Once you have determined your ethical theory, demonstrate how that informs moral action. Your example can be from your own experience, or you can create a hypothetical. You can also refer to an example from a current event.

Discussion 2. Let's say that you work as an air traffic controller at a major international airport. One of your colleagues who works close to you, who you know professionally, has alcohol on his breath. This happens once. Then, the following week it happens again, this time for several days in a row. He seems to be doing his job. But you are concerned. What, if anything would you do?
