Scenario:

You are the manager at an organisation in Ballarat , Victoria , Australia. You have arranged a meeting with two management level colleagues to discuss last year's New Year's staff gathering. This is because there have been several informal complaints made by staff members about the conduct of one of the employees at the gathering. The employees name is Jack.

The complaints made are about some of the inappropriate comments made by Jack towards another staff member, Mohammad, during a conversation the two were having about Mohammad's religion and religious practices.

Jack made loud remarks to Mohammad such as "...your people don't belong here'....and... 'if you can't adjust to our values and ways of life, you should go back to your country".

It was also noted that Mohammad left the party abruptly.

Following on from this, two staff members have said that they received emails from Jack the next day ridiculing the Muslim community.

Jacks Supervisor has also let you know that Jack met with him in and told him he would no longer work near Mohammad, and would resign if Mohammad was not removed from the team.

This meeting is being held to try and sort out this situation
