Talent retention and turnover is one of the key challenges facing today's organisations. Your task is to conduct an analysis of employee retention in your organisation (or an organisation with which you are familiar). In analysing your chosen organisation's retention practices, you need to:

• consider the background of your organisation/industry

• discuss the techniques used to manage voluntary and involuntary turnover

• critically assess the benefits and weaknesses of adopting this retention approach

• provide recommendations for improving employee retention at your chosen organisation.

Read about the employee retention practices and the management of involuntary and voluntary turnover in journal articles , books (including the textbook), industry reports, business literature, etc. Remember to note down your sources and reference them in the report.

In order to do well you need to structure your discussion appropriately, use quality references, and clearly link recommendations to the description and analysis presented earlier in the report.
