While it is clear that the 4IR will bring significant opportunities, there is no denying that it will come with challenges and threats. One of the biggest challenges governments will grapple with, is that of massive job losses, as a result of the 4IR.

1. Discuss why the South African government, in particular, is justified in worrying about job losses, which may be brought on by the 4IR.

2. Recommend and explain two (2) measures that the South African government can implement to manage the risk of massive job losses in the 4IR.

3. Technology (AI / machines) will make a great deal of human work far more efficient and cost effective. As a student, who is pursuing a Higher Certificate in Logistics & Supply Chain Management Practice qualification, provide two (2) real life examples of how technology is assisting you to study efficiently and cost effectively.

4. Predict one (1) technological advancement you envisage in the education sector in the 4IR, and then describe one (1) benefit and one (1) challenge the predicted technological advancement will bring with it.
