Eric just moved to a new apartment in the city because of a new job. His old friend (Michael) who is living in the same city gave Eric a call asking him to do a basic statistical analysis of data accompanied with some graphical presentations. Michael sent the necessary data to Eric. Eric was busy preparing for his new job, but he could not say no to his friend. Michael promised Eric some remuneration in doing this favour for him. During the day of the presentation, Michael called Eric to express his disappointment and frustration. The board asked many questions about Eric's analysis that Michael could not answer. "There were mistakes in your graphs. How could this be? I trusted you!" Michael yelled at Eric on the phone. Tension emerged between them. Michael wanted to meet Eric in person to discuss the issue. Eric knew that he could have done better, but because it was done abruptly, he might have missed some points; but being a statistician, he knew the strengths in that presentation. He knows his job.
