Question: The Social welfare policy provides services such as, Medicare, Medicade, State Children's Health Insurance, also known as SCHIP. Also the Patient Protection and The Affordable Care Act and public health. The Social Welfare Policy also includes nutrition assistance programs, also known as SNAP, this was once called the food stamp program. They also provide nutrition programs for older adults. Another form of health they offer is with Social services, such as child and adult protective services, adoption services, community mental health service, and long term care services. The Social Welfare Program also helps with employment services, job training and other services such as finding housing and homeless shelters for the needy people of the community. The Social Welfare Policy also helps with education, No Child Left Behind Act, public school funding, , school funding and financial aid for furthering education.The WIC Program known as (Women, Infants, Children) provides supplemental foods, health care referrals as well as nutrition education at no cost to low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding women, and to infants and children up to 5 years of old.

- WIC include an array of foods such as.....infant cereal, baby foods, fruits and vegetables, eggs, milk, cheese, yogurt, peanut butter. For infants of women who do not fully breastfeed, WIC provides iron-fortified infant formula.
