In Module 1, Westerns (2013 [required reading] four frames of critical inquiry were studied. This weeks required reading introduces a case study to demonstrate critical analysis of asymmetrical leadership. In Chapter 3, Western used seven different leadership examples when discussing the Case Study: Lenins Leadership. One of the seven is entitled Mass Leadership (Social Movement Leadership).

For this weeks discussion, choose a current social movement from anywhere in the world. Then, using the required readings and your own research, discuss the role that collective actors play in your chosen social movement. Additionally, describe any group or collective processes that you discovered. Use specific examples to make major points.

The original post should be no more than two to three paragraphs written in clear, concise form.

Support your writing with at least two scholarly sources that are addition to required reading.

When responding to another students post, advance the analysis by recognizing perils that might manifest for leaders of the social movement described in the original post.

Discuss how you might relate the reasoning from the social movement analysis to a business or governmental organization setting.

Support your position with definitive examples and credible sources.
