Question 1:

• Define the concept of ageism and describe how ageism and bias may impact healthcare service delivery across care contexts.
• Explore varied world views on ageing by comparing and contrasting Australian First Nations peoples and one (1) other CALD groups' perspectives on ageing and social constructs related to ageing
• With reference to the Australian Aged Care Quality Standards, discuss the role of the nurse in promoting dignity, respect, choice in decision making, and
• Examine ageing research and share 2 (two) strategies or interventions that have enhanced the experience of dignity in healthcare for culturally diverse older people.

Question 2:

1. Discuss the role of the nurse in mitigating conscious and unconscious bias, promoting healthy ageing and wellbeing across the different contexts of care in light of the Aged Care Quality Standards.
2. Compare and contrast differing world views on the social constructs of health and ageing with consideration of Australian First Nations perspectives
3. Propose strategies to engage with older people from diverse populations to promote dignity and choice in health care decision making, including palliative and end of life care.
