Discuss how this expectation might place the social worker in a position of conflict with his or her supervisor and/or agency policy. Chapter 5 - Guiding Principles for Social Workers

1. The principle "the social worker should practice social work" seems self-evident, however it easy to forget. Discuss why it is necessary for social workers to stick to practice activities that are within the domain of social work. Give an example of a social worker that might be tempted to provide services that are clearly outside of the domain of social work.
