1) Discuss the purpose and history of the group as it specifically addresses the needs of the addiction client population it serves.

a) Consider unique factors this group offers to those struggling with addiction.

2) Discuss when this type of support group would be an appropriate treatment strategy for clients. Analyze addiction research studies to describe how this support group addresses client needs contained in the biopsychological model of addiction? Discuss both the positive and negative results of the organization based upon your research findings.

a) Consider when this organization might be best used as a treatment component and consider when it may not be a viable treatment option.
