Question: New credit card machines use two receipts, to be signed by the payer. This has recently caused confusion as many customers forget to sign the copy they leave with the establishment. If 6 out of 17 randomly selected patrons forgot to sign their slips, test the hypothesis that a full one-half of the customers do so, using a = 0.05, against a left-tailed alternative.
