To demonstrate an understanding of capability, you will need to explain what a capable nurse would do in relation to the issue you have chosen. You will also need to reference one code/standard to illustrate the responsibility of the nurse, in relation to your chosen issue. When discussing a code or standard, keep the focus narrow. Ideally, you will illustrate the relevance of this code/standard throughout your writing. For example, when reflecting on an aspect of your education, you would do well to illustrate (even if briefly) how this links to the code/standard you have chosen Your reflection on your own education could fit well at the end of your essay - the last body paragraph or two. When discussing an aspect of your nursing education, avoid vague sweeping statements. You are encouraged to focus on an aspect of your education. This will enable a deeper discussion with integration of concepts, rather than a discussion that reads like a list of ideas.
