Paper Goals: The primary goal of this paper is to get the student to begin thinking and writing like a historian. Students will need to watch their respective films multiple times. Students will also have to briefly engage in the history of the era in which the film was written and produced, requiring them to consider the backgrounds of the writers, producers, director, and possibly the actors. Doing this will require students not only to research the history of the events depicted in the film, but they will also have to examine the history of the era in which the film was created, and further engage with the history of the history being portrayed in the film, known as the Historiography.
