For this discussion, contemplate a population you are most interested in working with and the needs they may have through the systems perspective of individuals, families, groups, and communities. Then consider the services that your community provides to address the needs of these individuals and if they are adequate. Discuss the population you are interested in and their needs and strengths, using the systems lens on a micro, mezzo, and macro level. Use statistics or research from your community on a local, state, or national level. Research what your community is currently doing to meet the needs of that population and provide at least two examples; these could include agencies, community action, or resources. If your community is not meeting those needs, then discuss the lack of services. How would you evaluate the services currently being provided to meet the mental or behavioral health needs of this population to ensure the needs are met in an adequate way? Provide at least two specific examples of how you would evaluate the services.
