Leadership Loop
COLLAPSE
The leadership loop is one of building a successful teams for me. I have always showed my teams that I care about their personal well being outside of work by showing interest at the point of getting to know them. I pay attention to what is said when time off requests come up and being interested in the team being off completely. Showing appreciation for their hard work and their contributions to the team as a whole by being able to cover their duties and not having them come back behind. I find this to be part of that Leadership Loop that we are all trying to be successful on.
Meetings from the top down meant the opportunity to forecast what was coming up and what we needed to do in the coming weeks or months so we could all prepare. This for me was my way of verbalizing and when we took the opportunity to team build. We do this now as a practice for our last week of the month, which I've assigned to each one of my team members and I help them structure their meeting now. I am providing skill set and development. I have influenced my team and motivated them by showing them how I have led a meeting and working with them during the month that they are in charge of one meeting and it is mainly meant for fun.

COLLAPSE
When I look at the Leadership Loop from the textbook, I think that the most important step in the loop is the caring loop. This is the first step in the loop, and I believe that without this step there is no loop. Without caring it is hard to learn about people and hard to appreciate them. In my opinion all of the steps in the loop are come back to caring. Take an interest in people and it seems cliché but treat people the way you would want to be treated. In my research I found a website from Alden Mills writes
"Caring is the cornerstone for building trust and persistence in any group. When people feel cared for and when they care about the tasks and goals at hand, they are willing to step beyond their perceived limits and dare to do something greater than they originally thought possible."
I completely agree with this statement. If you can just show people that you care then maybe you can make a difference in their lives.
