Question: During this COVID-19 situation, the universities are conducting their academic activities online. The experience of online teaching and learning is a new experience for most students and faculties in Bangladesh. Therefore, students show hesitancy towards this online platform. They are uncomfortable with technical and psychological difficulties of engaging in online classes. They are most fearful about the assessments carried out through virtual means. The faculties on the other hand, are faced with the challenge of re-designing their course content, style of teaching and assessment methods. They need to keep the students engaged, interested and committed to virtual lecture sessions. The faculties also need to ensure that the students are convinced about and accepting the accuracy of the assessments carried out through online platforms.

- Discuss the major issues or challenges for the students in adapting to the online learning environment and identify the root causes for their difficulties.

- Suggest some innovative and creative ideas to the faculties to make the online learning more interesting for students?
