Question - A supermarket chain employs you as a management accountant. The organization is undertaking a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of its product and customer portfolio. You have been asked to help because of your knowledge (through study) of value chain analysis.

Required -

a) Using example of a supermarket discuss the main components of the value chain. You should refer to the particular skills you as a management accountant can bring to the analysis of the value chain.
