The context

"Following the US financial crisis of August 2007-June 2009, protracted weakness in the financial sector has triggered a global recession in the real-world economy."

Discuss the macroeconomic environment before, during and after the event, both domestic as well as global perspectives.

Can this crisis be considered a "one off", or might it happen again? If not, a one off, identifies changes that were made to prevent it. If no changes were made what would you suggest?

Consider this event as if you were planning to profit from it; how would you trade it?

Aim
Analysis the US sub-prime financial crisis. Detail of macroeconomic environment before, during and after the event. Identification of key macroeconomic factors ((at least two)) and explanation of their role in the event. Use of Bloomberg is advised.
