Assignment:

I would like you to consider how Eliza Pinckney provides us with a perspective that is both grounded in place and worldly. She is the quintessential British Atlantic subject, colonial subject, English woman, and enlightenment thinker. Her story does not conform to our traditional understanding of what a woman could do during this period, and yet she reflects the aspirations and limits of the colonies during her lifetime.

Compare that to the narrative provided from the perspective of Native American groups during this period and their involvement in the preamble to the American Revolution.

Discussion Question: Discuss the Imperial Crisis from the perspective of Pinckney and Native American groups. Provide evidence from the sources included in our module for the week and readings you were asked to do.

This is a post first discussion. Make sure to respond to at least two of your colleagues posts.
