Discuss the impact that the patient has had on healthcare quality in the past, present and future. Identify an organization that has truly engaged their patients in their Quality/Patient Safety process and give examples of how they have accomplished this.

• Using the topic the team has chosen, create a paper that first, describes an overview of the topic as described in the above; and explains why the you chose this area of interest.

• Once you have completed Step Two, choose an organization that exemplifies a successful approach to the topic you have chosen. Share concrete examples of how they have successfully addressed the topic.

• You will then identify the one practice that they believe is most valuable to the success of the organization which they would like to experience in their own organization or put into practice in the future.

• Lastly, the you will identify the lessons learned from their research into the topic and the success of this organization.

• Once the paper is complete, the you will ten create a 10 - 12 minute power point presentation that is an overview of the paper and that will be shared with the class during the time set aside. The presentations shall be sequenced by drawing lots. The team is expected at answer questions from the class.
