Discuss the homeostasis on any ONE hormone. Include the following in the response:

Name of the stimulating hormone that causes your chosen hormone to be secreted.

What type of hormone is it? A peptide or a steroid, etc.?

Where is the receptor for the chosen hormone located, and where in the cell of the organ is the receptor for the chosen hormone located?

What changes are brought about by the chosen hormone?

Once the work of the hormone is done, how does the endocrine system stop its production? (Hint: Inhibitory hormone)

What disease(s) are caused if there is too much or too little of that hormone?

Many patients with prediabetes or diabetes are moving toward intermittent fasting (IF). IF is the practice of eating during certain times and then fasting for a chosen amount of time.
