Read and analyze the following scenarios. In your response, consider our ethical obligations as outlined by the Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts (BACB, 2020). Please specify significant issues or elements from the scenario that influence your decision and be specific about what you think the behavior analyst should do. In some cases, you may have opinions about what should happen immediately and what needs to happen in a longer-term context. We are looking for you to provide a specific course of action, your process for getting there, and include all documentation that would be warranted in this scenario.

You have been subpoenaed by the court to testify about a child custody issue. You know the child well and worked with the parents for a long time. You have strong opinions about which parent was more involved, is more skilled, and is more able to provide what the child needs. It makes sense to you that you would share this information in court in the best interests of the child. You plan to provide detailed information about the parents' relative involvement and differential skills.

You are a BCBA providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities in the state of MA. A family informs the team that they recently started using medical marijuana to manage behavior and increase attending behavior in their child. They are excited about what they saw over vacation and want to continue to use it. They have requested you to administer it mid-day while the child is in the clinic.
