Problem I. Buxton argues that in the case of climate refugees - people whose homes, community, territory is rendered uninhabitable and they must leave (and become "place-less" or even worse, "state-less") - compensation alone may not be sufficient. Rather, reparative justice may require additional measures to repair the loss or harm suffered caused by those with some moral responsibility for the loss.
Discuss Buxton's underlying reasoning for why this is the case, and then reflect on and evaluate her argument and whether you think she has made a good case for reparative justice for climate refugees.
