Question: A professor gave his general psychology class a 50-item true/false test on the first day of class to measure the students' beliefs about punishment, reward, mental breakdowns, and so forth-topics that would be covered during the course. Many items were phrased to represent a common misconception ("mental breakdowns are usually caused by defective genes"). At the end of the course, the same test was given again. High scores mean lots of misconceptions. Analyze the data and write a conclusion about the effect of the course on misconceptions.
