Include in this discussion the various leaders of each faction.

4) In the movie Amistad John Quincy Adams says about the issue of slavery as a dividing one "let the Civil War come - and may it be the last battle of the American Revolution". Trace and discuss the genesis of the Civil War from the Revolution up until 1800. Be sure to include constitutional issues like the ending of slavery, slavery itself, the power of the states versus that of the federal government, perceived and real differences between the North and South, industrialization, politics, expansionism, racism, and anything else you think might be pertinent. Be sure to offer a historical analysis.
