Draw a topographic profile on the graph below between the centers of the marks (B) and (C) on the map. In the graph, the vertical axis represents elevation. What you have to do is to draw a curve that approximates the cross-sectional profile between (B) and (C). If you cut the landform like a cake connecting (B) and (C), what would the cross-section look like? Note: the brown curves on the map are contour lines, connecting the same elevation. The contour lines have a constant interval (200 ft). Conceptually they are the same as isotherms or isobars, but they are for elevation, not for temperature or pressure.
