Legal issues and the potential for legal issues affect businesses and individuals every day. find and select three (3) recent news articles (since March 1, 2023) involving a constitutional law issue, or potential constitutional law issue, regarding a constitutional law topic covered in this class (Commerce Clause, Dormant Commerce Clause, Equal Protection Clause, Due Process Clause, First Amendment, Fourth Amendment). Each of your three news articles should involve a different topic (i.e. You can select one article regarding the Commerce Clause, one regarding the First Amendment, and one regarding Equal Protection. You cannot select two articles regarding the Due Process Clause and one article regarding Equal Protection).
Read each article. Please ensure the completion of a comprehensive report.
a report (one document) addressing the following questions as to EACH article. Additionally, attach a copy of each article to your report. If each article doesn't clearly show the source of the article and the date, attach such additional pages/evidence thereof as needed.
As to each article:
1) Fully discuss who the parties or potential parties to litigation are/will be/would potentially be; and
2) Fully discuss the procedural posture/stage of the case. If the case is in court, identify which court (court name and location) and whether it is a trial or appellate court. If the case is not yet in court, identify whether the parties are engaged in settlement negotiations, or if not, identify which court (court name and location and trial v. appellate court) the potential Plaintiff would most likely file the lawsuit; and
3) Identify and fully discuss the constitutional law, or potential constitutional law, issue; and
4) Identify any other facts that would be important to know in assessing the issue; and
5) State whether you think a certain party should be liable or not and fully explain your reasoning using cases and legal standards.
