Assignment:

I chose to discuss the Civil Rights Movement even though it is a very old movement, I feel that it still stands as one of the most successful, victorious, and justified movements today because it was a peaceful movement, unlike a lot of the movements that are happening today. The Civil Rights Movement started in 1954 and lasted until 1968 and was mostly led by Martin Luther King Jr. This movement was a huge accomplishment for the United States as a whole as it showed the entire country that no matter someone's skin color, all people should be treated with equality and fairness.
