Similar to adult deviance, juvenile delinquency can be defined and measured in a variety of ways. The one unique characteristic with juvenile delinquency is that the legal definition will vary from one state to another.

In your initial post, discuss some of the differences in legal definitions concerning what constitutes a juvenile.

Next, identify and explain two different ways that juvenile delinquency is measured. Conclude your response by identifying the measurement of juvenile delinquency that you believe is most effective and briefly explain why you believe this is an effective measurement of juvenile delinquency.

In your response posts to classmates, evaluate the measurement of juvenile delinquency that the classmate identified as most effective.

If you agree with the classmates selection, expand upon the points they made concerning why it is more effective than other measurements.

If you disagree, respectfully highlight the reasons why you believe the measurement method is not as effective as some other way.
