Generally, it is reported that the vast majority of parents do not discuss sexuality or sexual desire with their children. Likewise, many teenagers are not comfortable having such conversations with their parents.

Additionally, it is described that a general lack of good factual information afflicts adolescents (especially in the United States) and can lead to considerable risk factors in adolescent sexual activity.

Comprehensive sex education classes are required in a number of states, but abstinence-only programs are growing in popularity.

First, do you think that adolescents would best gain factual information about sex if it was delivered by schools or by their parents?

Second, regardless of how you answered, how do you think our country as a whole could go about changing the culture around adolescent sexuality in order to improve education and decrease risky sexual behavior among adolescents?
