You are the new general manager of the Kingfisher Convention Centre and Warblers Café. An employee has just told you that the stock control procedures for the convention centre and café are extremely unsafe. Currently all stock destined for the convention centre and café are delivered directly to the garden centre trades centre, then they are moved to the convention centre and café via a forklift. There are no clearly marked paths or signage showing that a forklift travels there.

An incident occurred where the forklift driver did not see an employee walking in their path. They were knocked to the ground, received a broken arm and severe bruising.

You decide to run a consultation meeting to discuss this serious issue with employees and how it can be resolved to ensure the safety of everyone.

You also think the bins and the boxes from the lobby need to be moved using equipment such as trolleys to assist with the safe manual handling.
