Assignment:
1. This activity will need to be observed. The assessor has a checklist of criteria they will base your assessment on.
As a real or simulated work activity, you must attend a consultation to discuss project risks. This is in preparation for managing project risks (see the Performance Activity), and you will need to determine the organisation's approach to risk management, along with risk management processes and procedures. You should also determine your role and what is required of you to manage project risks in the Performance Activity.
Information on risk management and the projects will be given to you.
You should follow organisational communication protocols and conventions to meet and discuss risk management, making sure you seek and listen to information. You should ask questions and use active listening skills.
2. After the consultation has taken place, you must read and assess the information gathered on the projects and risk management processes and procedures, and create a document that identifies:
- Your role and how you will implement and monitor risk management
- A summary of risk management requirements (as discussed)
- How risks will be calculated according to the risk ranking system.
This should be documented neatly and professionally to meet organisational requirements for recordkeeping. You should check this for accuracy of spelling, grammar, and meaning. Attach a copy of this to your workbook.
