The purpose of healthcare is to enhance the quality of life of individuals by providing the necessary treatment. The race or ethnicity of an individual should not dictate the quality of care that he/she receives. However, due to racial disparities in healthcare individual's quality of life, treatment and care are being affected.

The purpose of this research is to discuss racial disparities in mental health how not addressing the needs of a culturally diverse population leads to the disparities, and the disparities in the assessment and treatment of individuals with pain.

III. Conclusion

In conclusion, this study examined several factors that contributes to racial disparities in health. It established that there are racial disparities in healthcare and that health and quality of life are being affected by the disparities.
