Provide examples to support your discussion.

2. How do the U.S. and Canada compare in executive compensation practices with other countries? Describe differences in executive compensation with any one country.

3. Discuss potential challenges the next CEO at Spades would have to deal with and the compensation trend(s) which the board must consider in making its selection.

4. Discuss Gallaway's proposal for performance-based pay. What do you see as some of its likely benefits? Are there any other alternatives to keep from rewarding failure? If so, why are they preferable?
