Whether it was freedom based on political rights {such as the right to vote}, economic rights (such as the opportunity to have access to good jobs and make a decent living/wages), educational rights (such as access to good schools, job training, and college), cultural rights {such as the freedom of cultural expression), African Americans have struggled for and fought to de?ne freedom.
