According to the National Consumer Voice for Quality Long Term Care Report (February, 2022), The Biden Administration committed to "implementing a variety of nursing home reforms, including the creation of a minimum staffing standard in nursing homes, accountability for poor-performing nursing homes, increased transparency around ownership and finances, and support for direct care staff" (para 1). Using Google and the Waggoner library, research the Nursing Home Reform Act.

• Discuss and outline the minimum staffing requirements for nursing homes pursuant to this federal legislation.
• Compare and contrast nursing home staffing standards pursuant to the state which you currently reside (insert link to in State Statutes and Regulations).
• Discuss noted discrepancies.
• Based on your readings and research, explain your position regarding whether nursing homes (and other LTC entities) should or should not increase staffing levels.
• To what extent does the acuity levels of the patient mix have on the total quality of care and deliverables of medical services? How are both staff and patients affected by a LTC facilities' staffing matrix?
