It is a compare and contrast essay on two fairytales by the brothers grim (not the updated Disney versions) titles "Little Snow White" and "The Handless Maiden". In both "Little Snow White" and "The Handless Maiden," physical beauty plays an important role in the story. In "Little Snow White," the evil queen is obsessed with being the most beautiful woman in the land, and she will go to any length to make sure that she is. In "The Handless Maiden," the maiden's hands are cut off by her father because he is afraid that she will be more beautiful than he is. In both stories, physical beauty is used as a way to control the characters.

Inner beauty is also important in both stories. In "Little Snow White," Snow White is able to overcome the evil queen's curse because she is a kind and good person. In "The Handless Maiden," the maiden is able to grow new hands because she is a good person. Inner beauty is what ultimately triumphs in both stories.

There are some similarities and differences in the role of physical and inner beauty in "Little Snow White" and "The Handless Maiden." In "Little Snow White," physical beauty is used as a way to control the characters, while in "The Handless Maiden," physical beauty is used as a way to control the characters. Inner beauty is what ultimately triumphs in both stories.
