Discussion 1 - Think of your 'best' boss (or someone else, perhaps one of your role models or coaches, if you haven't worked) and rate their behavior using the Ethical Leadership Survey in Survey 9.1 and 'Common Decencies at Work' in Best Practices. Compare it to the worst boss you ever worked for. Are the two different or similar on these 'ethical' criteria? How? What did they do well and not so well and how did it affect the workplace? Read each other's and discuss.

Discussion 2 - Discuss what it means to be a 'servant leader' and how you could enact that in a role where you are a leader (could be a dub, your family, your house mates, friend group, etc). Watch Dudley's Tedtalk on Lollipop Moments. Discuss how this is also a form of servant leadership.

Discussion 3 - Discuss/debate the following: If you were a professor, would you evaluate students in class using a rating system (student grades are based only on points earned) or ranking system (student grades are based on points earned using a forced-curve distribution-only 10% can earn an A, 50% a B, 30% a C and 10% lower than a C)? Why? Discuss how does this relate to performance evaluation systems in the workplace and the ethical considerations noted in your textbook.

Discussion 4 - Read George's 'Authentic Leadership and then watch the video on Starbuck's Howard Schultz (embedded video) and the interview with him and then new CEO Kevin Johnson (the link). Discuss each leader's 'authentic leadership'? How do they differ? What is their moral code?
