Race in the Twenty -First century we're going to discuss Intersectionality and the multiplicity of oppressions added to race that people experience in their daily lives. How do factors such as class and gender further entrench minorities in oppressive structures, and what are the implications for their future? Can we see intersectionality in Blood Orange's song? If so, how? Are people's narratives silenced and erased by the lack of understanding surrounding Intersectionality? How have masculinity and femininity interacted with race and class? Does being a minority influence the performance of gender, especially for males in our violent and aggressive society?
