OVERVIEW
Imperialism in the 19th century cemented that the world could not function the same as it once did. World powers sought to expand their territories to feed the need for more raw materials for industrialization. The story of imperialism in this period often focuses on the expansion of European countries. However, most of the world's power practiced imperialism in this period. Europe, Japan, the United States all expanded their territories throughout the era. This discussion will explore the impact of these expansions on all those who were involved.
INSTRUCTIONS
Question 1: Discuss Imperialism and colonial responses to Imperialism. (You may select one of the following: British, the United States, or Japan). Please select a specific region in which the country practiced imperialism.
Question 2: Describe the countries imperialist expansion and policy? What type of imperialism did they practice?
