Scenario: You have graduated with your degree. You join a rural sheriff's office and after three years on patrol you are selected as one of two major crimes investigators. While you do not have a lot of experience, you rely on the resources you maintained from your education.

Question/Death Scenario I: A working mother returns from working the night shift at a local convenience store to find her 2 year-old son deceased in his crib. You arrive to find the first responding officer outside the home with the distraught mother and her live in boyfriend. The initial officer has set up crime scene tape establishing the entire house as a possible crime scene. You enter and find the deceased child laying on his back. The baby is blue and cold. Based on the scenario provided answer each part of the question below.
